The unnamed feeling

I wasn't sure if I should publish this look for 2 reasons- first, it was extremely dark outside and the pictures didn't come out as I wanted to; second, I feel like you must be tired of seeing me wearing button ups +necklaces ( I just wanted to make it look a little more formal). I wore this outfit to have dinner with my bf a couple of days ago but you can also wear something like this to work/corporate party/school presentation (just make sure the skirt is a little longer!). I'm  sorry for the lack of pics! :) It's almost FRIDAY.. have a great weekend! XOXO

No estaba segura si publicar este look por dos razones- la primera es que el 98% de las fotos salieron extremadamente oscuras, la segunda es que no las quiero aburrir. He estado utilizando las camisas abotonadas hasta el cuello varias veces, pero estaba súper antojada de usarlo en un look más "formal" con una falda negra. Este outfit lo usé para ir a cenar con mi novio hace unos días- lo bueno es que si usas una falda un poquito más larga, puedes usarlo para la oficina/fiesta corporativa/presentación en la uní/etc. Disculpen que sean tan pocas fotitos! Ya casi es VIERNES.. feliz fin de semana!!

Lifesaver collision inspired!

A couple of weeks ago, I got an email from the PR company from Wrigley (think Skittles, Starburst, Lifesavers, Orbit gum, Altoids, and more). And they challenge me to create a look or a fashion tip inspired by these candy- my sweet tooth was so excited about the box filled with candy (and I loved the idea of getting inspired by candy- I believe inspiration is EVERYWHERE)! When I opened it, the first thing that got my attention were the new lifesavers- they are two different flavors and colors. I was inspired to try a different color-block combo (turquoise and yellow). But here's the best part... they also offered me a Rebecca Minkoff bag (valued at $295) - but I decided to give it away to my amazing readers because I never find the words to say how thankful I am for all the love and support. Hace unas semanas me llegó un email de la compañía de Relaciones Públicas de Wrigley (que incluye caramelos como Skittles, Starburst, Lifesavers, chicles Orbits, mentas Altoids y más). Y me desafiaron a crear un look inspirado en cualquiera de estos caramelos- me encantan los dulces así que cuando llegó una cajita llena de caramelos me emocioné toda! Aparte que me encantó la idea del reto, yo considero que nos podemos inspirar de todo lo que nos rodea. Cuando abrí la caja, lo primero que me llamó la atención fue un paquete de gomitas Lifesavers que son de dos colores (mitad y mitad)- y me sentí súper inspirada por la combinación amarillo y turquesa, de manera que quise rercrearlo en bloques de color. Lo mejor de todo es que también me ofrecieron una cartera REBECCA MINKOFF (hermosa!) para mi o para ustedes- pero decidí rifarla entre mis seguidoras porque nunca encuentro como agradecerles por tanto cariño y apoyo. La rifa la voy a publicar más tardecita, así que no olviden regresar! Un abrazo inmenso!

Black & Cream

As I told you on the previous post, this friday I had my last final- it was one of my favorite classes: History of Fashion I. I wore this sweater to the test but with black jeans because it's so cold there. However, I got home so early (it wasn't even 10 am) that I went back to sleep and when I woke up, I wanted to make this outfit "miami friendly". I saw these vintage D&G on my closet and I thought they were perfect to make this outfit completely "cream and black- but I wanted to add a pop of color with a bright-pink lipstick. Later, we had dinner at a sushi place where they have the best chicken rolls! Thanks for stopping by! XOXO

Como les conté en el post anterior,  el viernes tuve mi último final- para la clase de History de la moda, en el cual utilicé este suetercito pero con un pantalón por el frío de la universidad. Pero como era solo ir a presentar el examen, todavía era super temprano- regresé a la casa, dormí y me desperté con ganas de convertir este el outfit un poco más amigable con el calor de Miami. Quise que el outfit fuera totalmente crema y negro- razón por la cual escogí estos zapatos vintage Dolce&Gabbana (que encontré en una tienda de segunda mano por $20, y estaban como NUEVOS!). Finalmente, me puse una pinturita de labios fucsia para darle un toque de color. Después fui a cenar sushi con mi novio- estaba antojadísima de un roll de pollo. Un abrazo inmenso a todas!

Miami Marine Stadium

One of my goals, besides sharing my daily outfits, is showing you that Miami is so much more than beaches and shopping- even though it's a relatively new city, there are amazing places to visit. A couple of months ago I heard about this abandoned stadium in Key Biscayne so we decided to check it out. This amazing marine stadium was used for boat races, floating concerts, and more... but Hurricane Andrew destroyed it in 1992. The view of the Miami skyline is GORGEOUS and I was speechless because of the graffitis- every single corner of this stadium is covered with a graffiti (even all the seats as you can see in the pictures below). Even though the entrance is prohibited, we weren't the only ones there taking pictures.  I hope you like the pictures ( I wanted to share the hundreds of pics we took!) Have a great Sunday and week! Una de mis metas en el blog, aparte de compartir mis outfits diarios,  es mostrarles que Miami es mucho más que playa y shopping- apesar de ser una ciudad bastante nueva, hay lugares para hacer "turismo". Hace unos meses oí de un estadio abandonado en Key Biscayne y me llamó muchísimo la atención; razón por la que decidimos aventurarnos al mismo por cuestiones de aburrimiento.  Este estadio solía ser para espectáculos y carreras de botes/lanchas- pero lamentablemente el huracán Andrew lo destruyó en 1992 . Tiene una vista espectacular de Miami, y en si impresiona muchísimo porque no hay una esquinita que no esté grafitiada. Es impresionante ver como todos los asientos, paredes, pisos.. TODO tiene un graffiti- yo estaba boquiabierta. La entrada está prohibida pero no eramos los únicos ahí tomando fotos. Si tienen la oportunidad de ir se los recomiendo con toda mi alma. Button it up!

I spent most of my Sunday doing a final project for school- I was so excited about it that I kept posting pics on Facebook. I think I'm going to dedicate a full post here just because I'm so proud of my hard work. While I was covered in pink paint, I got a text from my friend/blogger/boutique-owner, Tati- she invited me to have a super late brunch so I headed midtown. I wanted to wear something casual but still a little put-together; I got this shirt the other day at Forever 21 and I felt in love with it (and it's only $14)- I'm sure you are going to see it here A LOT. I also imagine this shirt+necklace with a simple black shirt and nude pumps for a ladylike/feminine look. Oh btw... a lot of you thought I cut my bangs; but I didn't. I was wearing clip-on bangs- I love them, they look so natural.   However, I really want to get a makeover :) Thanks for stopping by. XOXO

El domingo estuve todo el día haciendo el proyecto final para una clase- estuve compartiendo fotitos por Facebook de como iba pero estoy tan emocionada que tengo ganas de hacer un artículo completo mostrándoles como quedó desde todos los ángulos. Mientras estaba fajadísima pintando, recibí un mensajito de mi amiga Tati (de Furor y Gold Plated Dreams) invitándome a un almuerzo super tarde. Quería usar algo casual pero arregladito al mismo tiempo- estoy enamorada de esta camisa (es de Forever 21 y apenas costó $14 ); se que la voy a usar muchísimo. También me la imagino con el collar pero con una falda negra y unos tacones sencillos para un look más fomal y femenino. Por cierto, quería aclararles que no me corte el flequillo (pollina, fleco, o como le digan)- en las fotos anteriores tenía unas extensiones que se quitan y se ponen. Pero tengo ganas de hacerme un cambio de look bastante drámatico... tal vez las sorprenda pronto. Un abrazo gigante a todas!
