I looked for these shorts everywhere for a couple of months- I saw them online but they sold out very fast. One day, I decided to stop by a store and there they were.. waiting for me. The best part is that they are vintage Levis from the 90s- and I had to try on like 5 because all of them were completely different ( and the guy from the store said they were men's jeans... I have no idea how's that possible). I love them; they are comfy , versatile and I love the 90s vibe.

Estuve meses y meses buscando estos shorts- la primera vez que los ví fue en Urban Outfitters pero se agotaron rapidísimo. Pero un día pasé por la tienda, y ahí estaban- lo mejor es que como son "reciclados" (son Levis de los 90s), todos son diferentes y según el muchacho de la tienda "eran de hombre".. Me encantan; son super cómodos y como saben, me encanta el look de los 90s.

I spent most of my Sunday doing a final project for school- I was so excited about it that I kept posting pics on Facebook. I think I'm going to dedicate a full post here just because I'm so proud of my hard work. While I was covered in pink paint, I got a text from my friend/blogger/boutique-owner, Tati- she invited me to have a super late brunch so I headed midtown. I wanted to wear something casual but still a little put-together; I got this shirt the other day at Forever 21 and I felt in love with it (and it's only $14)- I'm sure you are going to see it here A LOT. I also imagine this shirt+necklace with a simple black shirt and nude pumps for a ladylike/feminine look. Oh btw... a lot of you thought I cut my bangs; but I didn't. I was wearing clip-on bangs- I love them, they look so natural.   However, I really want to get a makeover :) Thanks for stopping by. XOXO

El domingo estuve todo el día haciendo el proyecto final para una clase- estuve compartiendo fotitos por Facebook de como iba pero estoy tan emocionada que tengo ganas de hacer un artículo completo mostrándoles como quedó desde todos los ángulos. Mientras estaba fajadísima pintando, recibí un mensajito de mi amiga Tati (de Furor y Gold Plated Dreams) invitándome a un almuerzo super tarde. Quería usar algo casual pero arregladito al mismo tiempo- estoy enamorada de esta camisa (es de Forever 21 y apenas costó $14 ); se que la voy a usar muchísimo. También me la imagino con el collar pero con una falda negra y unos tacones sencillos para un look más fomal y femenino. Por cierto, quería aclararles que no me corte el flequillo (pollina, fleco, o como le digan)- en las fotos anteriores tenía unas extensiones que se quitan y se ponen. Pero tengo ganas de hacerme un cambio de look bastante drámatico... tal vez las sorprenda pronto. Un abrazo gigante a todas!

Choosing a decade for this challenge was extremely hard for me- I was very drawn to the 80s but I wanted to challenge myself and do something very classy like the 40s-50s- then, I really wanted to do my makeup like Twiggy but it was a complete fail. As you can see, I ended up doing grunge 90s- which I LOVE. Even though I got to experience the 90s and I was very into my clogs and plaid when I was around 8....I still love  90s music and one of my favorite shows is the original 90210. I hope you enjoy the pics- I really wanted to try something different: we went to downtown Miami because we thought the gratifies go perfectly with the whole grunge vibe. About my day: it was a super relaxing sunday, I did some groceries and watch Pretty Little Liars (somebody else obsessed with that show?). Have a great week! XOXO

Escoger que década hacer para este reto fue super díficil- tenía ganas de hacer los 80s pero quería retarme a hacer algo clásico como los 40s- después quería maquillarme como Twiggy en los 70s. Con lo indecisa que soy.. terminé haciendo el movimiento grunge de los 90s. Y sinceramente me encantan los 90s- aunque viví mi infancia en esta década, me encanta. Todavía mis canciones favoritas son de los 90s y uno de mis shows de tv preferidos es BH 90210. Recuerdo mucho a mis hermanos (que son 10 años mayor que yo) con sus camisas de cuadritos y a sus amigas con los pantalones altos y las "barrigas al aire". Espero que les guste, es algo diferente- quise "actuar" un poquito y no sonreir ya que siento que la onda del outfit no cuadraba con mis sonrisotas. Nos aventuramos a ir a downtown en una zona que esta toda grafiteada y me parece que va perfecto con el look. Sobre mi día: ha sido un domingo bastante tranquilo, y de diligencias (la gente me vió un poquito raro en la calle.. pero que importa!). Un abrazo inmenso a todas! Feliz semana!

FUROR SERIES: the mesh top!

This outfit was based around the mesh top- which I felt in love with because of the off-the-shoulder look. I think it's super casual but sexy at the same time. We paired it with a black bandeu top underneath since the top is see-through- and with my favorite high waisted shorts. As you might know, I love how the black&brown color combo; it looks so modern- finally, the little brown clutch balances out how casual the look is. What do you think? Este outfit fue creado alrededor de la camisa- la cual me fascinó; a mi me encantan las camisas que puedes sacar un poquito el hombro. Me parecen casuales y sexys al mismo tiempo. La combinamos con un bandeu negro abajo ya que se transparenta y unos shorts a la cintura (pero si está haciendo más frío puedes usar una camisa regular abajo y usarlo como suétercito con unos jeans). Como saben, a mi me encanta la combinación de marrón y negro- me parece que se ve super moderno; y la carterita en sobre equilibra un poquito lo casual del outfit. ¿Qué les parece esta opción? Por cierto, me han estado preguntando mucho sobre mi cabello- les voy a contar mi secreto pero shhh: 4-1 Fahrenheit curling iron. Viene con 4 tamaños de manera que escoges el que más te guste, las ondas que ven aquí son hechas con la rizadora más ancha. Un beso inmenso a todas!

If you feel like you have seen this outfit before... you kind of have! I wore a very similar outfit in February (different shoes, shorts and bag, and I was wearing a fedora). My mom took this pictures in the parking lot, the sun was about to go down so we were in a hurry. This week, I've been so lazy: a couple of friends came over to visit me, I went to dentist, and that was about it. Yesterday, I had dinner with my mom and this is what I wore- something casual&comfy but trendy. I have a quick question for everyone, do you prefer if I put where I got the items at the beginning of the post or at the end? Si sientes que has visto este outfit antes... es porque así es! Usé un outfit muy parecido a este en febrero (zapatos, shorts, collar y cartera diferentes, y estaba usando una fedora). Tomamos estas fotos apuradísimas en el estacionamiento antes de salir porque estaba anocheciendo y queríamos aprovechar los últimos rayitos de sol. Esta semana he estado flojísima: varias amigas vinieron a visitar, fui al dentista... y ya. Ayer fui a cenar sushi con mi mamá y esto fue lo que usé- algo casual y comodo pero con un toque trendy. Les tengo una pregunta a todas: ¿prefieres que ponga de donde es la ropa al principio o al final del post? Varias personas me han preguntado que porque no pongo donde compré lo que te puesto, y no es así- siempre lo pongo al final. Díganme que prefieren y que la pases buenísimo este fin de semana. Friday afternoon in the universe!

Friday afternoon, nothing to do... what should I wear? Definitely a simple and comfy outfit- I love this shirt, my bf gave it to me as a graduation present last year- it's so comfortable. I added a statement necklace because I felt like it needed it. I'm so excited because I got a package from Mimi Boutique yesterday that included this bag (Isn't it gorgeous!? I love it.. it's just perfect!). I paired it with these bronze gladiator sandals. I wanted to go thrift store shopping looking for more blazers. I found the perfect green blazer, it even fits perfectly (even though I love the oversized look). It's not turquoise green nor military green.. it's just GREEN.  I want to wear this weekend (hopefully today!). When I was paying, the cashier told me about a place with dozens of mini-thrift stores. I was on my way there when I got a call from the dealer that my car was ready (I'm so glad it was nothing!). Now I just want to take a quick power nap and we'll see what I do tonight. Un viernes por la tarde sin nada importante que hacer... ¿qué usó? Opté por unos shorts sencillos y la camisa más cómoda de todo mi closet, le agregué un collar para que no se vieran tan vacía. Ayer me llegó una caja de Mimi Boutique y no puedo esperar para mostrarles todo- estoy fascinada con esta cartera: el color, el modelo a lo Balenciaga, el tamaño... es perfecta! Y justamente tengo estas sandalias gladiadores de un color bronze similar.  Fui a "thrift shopping" (las tiendas de segunda mano), eb búsqueda de más blazers- encontré uno verde verde ( digo verde verde porque no es ni turquesa ni miliar) con lo botones dorados! Me lo quiero poner YA, si salgo esta noche de seguro me lo pongo. Aparte de eso compré un anillo super delicado. Al momento de pagar, la señora me contó de una zona que tiene muchísimos thrift stores- salí corriendo para ir a ver que tal. Cuando estaba llegando, me llamaron del taller para decirme que mi carrito estaba listo- que emoción!! Ahora estoy descansando un ratito para ver que me invento más tarde! FELIZ FIN DE SEMANA! High waisted shorts... finally!!

This is part #1 of today's outfits. I woke up, ate pancakes (we always have pancakes on Friday, we call it "Pancake Friday" lol), and then I headed to the thrift store. I know I say this almost every other day, but it's getting hotter and hotter by the minute in Miami. Yesterday I found the perfect pair of high waisted shorts at Urban Outfitters, I looked everywhere!- I stopped by after a Banana Republic that a fellow miami fashion blogger hosted (Carmen from Viva Fashion Blog). It was super fun and I met a couple of miami bloggers! Back to today... I went thrift store shopping, I'm so excited about what I bought. I found a couple of dresses- I have to get them altered because they are HUGE and LONG; but I can't wait to see the final result. I also found two blazers, a bright pink one that looks like the one from  Zara but it cost me $4 (beat that Zara!), and a bright blue blazer. Finally, I bought a pair of shoes from.... DOLCE&GABBANA. You are not going to believe how much I paid for them... $20!! Yeah $20 for a vintage (and never used!)  D&G shoes! Now I have to change because some friends are coming over.... I'll take some pics later! XoXO

Esta es la primera parte de los outfits de hoy! Me desperté, comí panquecas (siempre comemos panquecas los viernes, a este ritual le decimos "pancake friday" jajaja), después de eso fui a la tienda de cosas de segunda mano. Se que digo esto casi todos los días pero es impresionante el calor que está haciendo en Miami.  Ayer encontré los shorts a la cintura que llevo meses buscando- los encontré en Urban Outfitters después de ir a un evento de Banana Republic en el que una amiga y blogera de Miami era la organizadora (Carmen de Viva Fashion blog). Fue super chevere, y conocí a varias bloggeras de Miami que no conocia, luego pondré fotos. Volviendo a mi día.. estoy super emocionada porque encontré cosas buenísimas en la tienda de segunda mano: unos vestidos que tengo que mandar a arreglar porque me quedan grandisimos y larguísimos (aparte que hay que modernizarlos un poco). También encontré dos blazers, uno azul y otro rosado como el de Zara que es espectacular- pero me costo $4 (nada que ver con los $100 que cuesta el de Zara!). Finalmente... encontré unos zapatos vintage (ni usados, estaban intactos).. de DOLCE&GABBANA.. casí me da algo cuando vi que eran mi talla y que solo costaban $20! Siii!$20 por unos zapatos D&G!  Ahorita me voy a cambiar porque unos amigos vienen a mi casa- y me tomo fotos por supuesto! Un abrazo! FELIZ FIN DE SEMANA!
