The unnamed feeling

I wasn't sure if I should publish this look for 2 reasons- first, it was extremely dark outside and the pictures didn't come out as I wanted to; second, I feel like you must be tired of seeing me wearing button ups +necklaces ( I just wanted to make it look a little more formal). I wore this outfit to have dinner with my bf a couple of days ago but you can also wear something like this to work/corporate party/school presentation (just make sure the skirt is a little longer!). I'm  sorry for the lack of pics! :) It's almost FRIDAY.. have a great weekend! XOXO

No estaba segura si publicar este look por dos razones- la primera es que el 98% de las fotos salieron extremadamente oscuras, la segunda es que no las quiero aburrir. He estado utilizando las camisas abotonadas hasta el cuello varias veces, pero estaba súper antojada de usarlo en un look más "formal" con una falda negra. Este outfit lo usé para ir a cenar con mi novio hace unos días- lo bueno es que si usas una falda un poquito más larga, puedes usarlo para la oficina/fiesta corporativa/presentación en la uní/etc. Disculpen que sean tan pocas fotitos! Ya casi es VIERNES.. feliz fin de semana!!

Minimalistic jeans

I've mentioned before about my love/hate relationship with jeans- the problem is that I feel that people wear them way too much, to the point that if you look closely when you go out: it's like we are wearing a uniform. There are so many types of clothing, colors and textures... why wear the same thing over and over? I know it's easy, you just have to pick a random shirt on your closet and you are ready to go. But I like to challenge myself- maybe that's why I'm actually wearing them for the 1st time on this blog. I wore a similar version of this look to school on Friday- platform shoes and a big tote instead. However, I adapted it to go out with my bf at night. Also, I added a pop of color by wearing my favorite lipstick of all time (for all of you interested: 305 HOT by Covergirl). Also, I wanted to share that a super talented follower in Venezuela sent me this bag- she was so sweet :) That's it for today! XOXO

Les he mencionado anteriormente que tengo una relación amor-odio con los jeans- mi problema es que siento que la gente abusa de ellos hasta el punto que sales a la calle y todo el mundo lo está utilizando. Hay tanta variedad de piezas, colores, textures... ¿por qué usar siempre lo mismo? Se que es por comodidad.. escoges tu jean favorito y una camisa al azar del closet. Pero a mi me gusta retarme a mi misma, e intentar diferentes estilos- tal vez esa es  la razón por la que los quise usar. Utilicé un look parecido para ir a la univesidad pero con plataformas y una cartera grandota. Luego en la nochesita, quise adaptarlo para poder salir con mi novio- sentía que necesitaba un toque de color y por eso los labios rojos (el cual es mi color favorito- para las interesadas: 305 HOT de Covergirl). También quería contarles mi carterita: cuando estaba en Venezuela, una seguidora super talentosa me escribió ya que me quería mandar un regalito. Me pareció tan tierna, y cuando voy al correo: esta era la cartera! ME ENCANTA! (Mary Gaby, si estás leyendo esto: UN MILLON DE GRACIAS!). Eso es todo por hoy! Un abrazo giganteee!

This Furor shirt is vintage; reason why I couldn't find a similar blouse for the tittle above. It's not only super versatile but the fabric is perfect for the summer, or for the crazy hot Miami weather. I really like the V neck; it's very flattering (even though, I have worn it backwards to change the shape of it). I've worn it with bright jeans, leather, skirts, and shorts..

Esta camisa de Furor es vintage, razón por la que no encontraba ninguna parecida para el titulo. Me encanta porque la tela es bastante fresca para el calor de Miami- también el cuello en V se ve super elegante (aunque en uno de los outfits, decidí usarla de manera que los botones quedaran en la parté de atrás y adelante más cuadrada). La he usado con pantalones de cuero, de colores, faldas y shorts...

Wearing jeans.. AGAIN!

On the last post, I told that I haven't worn jeans in ages, but I felt in love with these Forever 21 jeans and  I haven't stopped wearing them. People in school asked me if I got them at J-Brand, I was like "no way, they were only $16!). I also like that I'm challenging myself to make them look chic instead of boring. I know I always complain about how hot Miami is (and it still is) but you always are indoors with the a/c on; reason why I decided to wear this outfit ( and I had the cold still and the a/c is terrible when you are sick). I got this bag a couple of days ago and I'm in love with it.... isn't it gorgeous!? it dresses up any outfit! I took the pics just before arriving to a Furor small shopping event- there we talked for hours, drank wine, and I did a little shopping. I got a shirt that you saw in the Furor Series and a new one- can't wait to show you. I came back home straight to the bed, I had to wake up early to go to school! En el post pasado les conté que tenía siglos sin ponerme jeans, pero encontré estos en Forever 21 y no los he soltado para nada. Hasta me preguntaron en la universidad si eran de J-Brand, pero no!- costaron solo $16 (aparte, creo que me estoy retando a que no se vean aburridos).  Se que seguro pensaran que me estaba derritiendo en Miami con este outfit, pero es que sinceramente en esta ciudad- por mucho calor que haga, siempre estás en un aire acondicionado.  Y como estaba con dolor de garganta y un poquito de gripe, quise agregar la bufanda de verano- y la tela de la camisa es super delgadita, así que es perfecto para estar adentro. Esta cartera me llegó hace 2 días, me enamoré apenas la ví, ¿no les parece una belleza!!?. Las fotos las tomé antes de llegar a casa de mi amiga y dueña de Furor, ya que tuvo un pequeño evento donde podíamos comprar, chismear, y tomar vino. Le compré dos cositas, una camisa que vieron en la serie de Furor y otra camisa que me fascino- se las muestro pronto. Estuve ahí hasta tardísimo la noche del jueves hablando, y llegué directo a dormir porque tenía clases y una presentación al día siguiente. Espero que esten pasando un bonito fin de semana!
