100 montaditos

My boyfriend's bff is in Miami for Labor Day weekend- so we have been taking him out to different places. Today, Friday, I wanted to take them to a small restaurant I went with some friends from school called "100 montaditos"- and I loved the concept. There you can get small sandwiches and they have a lot of flavors- from salmon&cream cheese to nutella&almonds. After that, I headed to the mall to find some of the items of my September's wishlist. Right now, we are trying to figure out if we are going out to drink or to the movies. I hope you are having an amazing weekend! XOXO

El mejor amigo de mi novio está de visita, así que hemos estado paseándolo por Miami estos días. Hoy viernes, quise llevarlos a un restaurante llamado "100 montaditos"- al cual fui por primera vez hace unos días y me encantó el concepto. Hay 100 (probablemente más) sanduchitos pequeños de muchísimos sabores- desde salmon con queso creo hasta nutella con almendras. Después de eso nos fuimos al centro comercial un ratito, encontré los shorts de "cuero" en Forever 21 y los converse blancos! Ahorita estamos viendo si vamos a salir, o vamos al cine. Espero que pase un feliz fin de semana!

FUROR SERIES: Waiting for fall

I love dresses with details on the back, they look super simple until you turn around. I really like that you can wear this dress over your swimsuit as a coverup but you can add a blazer for a polished look too. As I told you before, Tati and I were trying to come up with looks that can transition from summer to fall, and you can definitely change the shoes and add a little cardigan when it gets colder (I can't wait for this terrible humidity to go away!). I haven't done much lately-  I got a cold, so I've been sleeping like crazy. I even went to class in gym clothes! But I'm feeling much better, I even took some pics today! I'll share them soon! A mi me encanta cuando tienes un vestido puesto y parece sencillo hasta que te volteas y tiene un detalle en la espalda.... y justo así es este vestido. Lo mejor es que el color es tan versatil que puedes agregarle un blazer y hacerlo más formal, o simplemente ponerle una bufanda de verano para darle un poco de color. Como les conté, Tati y yo estabamos pensando en looks que pasaran del verano al otoño- y este look agregándole un suéter y unos botines, queda perfecto para temperaturas un poco más bajas. Les cuento un poquito de lo que estado haciendo... que no ha sido mucho ya que estoy un poquito enferma (gripe, nada del otro mundo). Lo que he hecho es dormir todo el día e ir a clase - a las cuales he ido casi que en pijama porque no podía con mi alma. Hoy ya me siento mejor, tomé unas fotitos y las compartiré pronto! FUROR SERIES: the mesh top!

This outfit was based around the mesh top- which I felt in love with because of the off-the-shoulder look. I think it's super casual but sexy at the same time. We paired it with a black bandeu top underneath since the top is see-through- and with my favorite high waisted shorts. As you might know, I love how the black&brown color combo; it looks so modern- finally, the little brown clutch balances out how casual the look is. What do you think? Este outfit fue creado alrededor de la camisa- la cual me fascinó; a mi me encantan las camisas que puedes sacar un poquito el hombro. Me parecen casuales y sexys al mismo tiempo. La combinamos con un bandeu negro abajo ya que se transparenta y unos shorts a la cintura (pero si está haciendo más frío puedes usar una camisa regular abajo y usarlo como suétercito con unos jeans). Como saben, a mi me encanta la combinación de marrón y negro- me parece que se ve super moderno; y la carterita en sobre equilibra un poquito lo casual del outfit. ¿Qué les parece esta opción? Por cierto, me han estado preguntando mucho sobre mi cabello- les voy a contar mi secreto pero shhh: 4-1 Fahrenheit curling iron. Viene con 4 tamaños de manera que escoges el que más te guste, las ondas que ven aquí son hechas con la rizadora más ancha. Un beso inmenso a todas!

Unusual sunset!

I wore this on Sunday- a super relax day... all Sundays should be like that. After sleeping until noon and a late brunch, I headed to JC Penney- I'm super excited since I was chosen to be featured on JC Penney's chictopia. After carefully searching through the whole store, I found the most amazing/colorful jeans- they have them in royal blue, green, yellow, pink, and red. I decided to get two since they were only $17 (originally $40!). Can you guess which ones I got?. Then, I decided to stop by my bf's house and it was a terrible idea... the elevator was broken and I had to use the stairs ( Did I mention he lives in the 13th floor? and yes.. I was wearing these gigantic platforms!) As you can see in the pictures below, my puppy decided to join me while we were taking pics- however, he decided to jump in the lake (which was so funny!) Esto fue lo que utilicé el domingo- el cual fue un día totalmente tranquilo, como deberían ser todos los domingos. Después de dormir hasta tarde y almorzar, decidí aventurarme a JC Penney- ya que esta semana voy a aparecer en la página de JC Penney en Chictopia (que emoción!). Después de recorrer por horas la tienda, encontré unos pantalones ESPECTACULARES de colores (los tienen en azul, amarillo, verde, rosado y rojo!)- aparte que de $40 estaban en $17 (¿adivinan que colores agarré?). Luego pasé un segundo por la casa de mi novio y fue lo peor porque el ascensor estaba dañado, vive en el piso 13, y yo en estas plataformas imensas! Como van a poder ver en las fotos de abajo, chiki (mi perrito) decidió acompañarme en algunas fotos pero por un momento se me desapareció y cuando salió estaba todo mojado..Se había metido en el lago! GRACIAS por visitar el blog! Son las mejores!

Maxi stripes!

Here's a quick post with few pics but I really wanted to share what I wore yesterday because I LOVE the dress. I got it at the Furor event last Thursday - Tati, the owner- told me she thought of me when she saw that dress, so I tried it on. At first I wasn't sure because I gravitate toward the same silhouette of vintage dresses, but I took it because it's very different from all the pieces I have in my closet (and it's truly beautiful and comfy). I let the dress be the center of attention by adding few accessories. Also, I wanted to style my hair differently- as you can see, I've been sporting the bangs a lot (if you do not know, they are clip-on bangs from the Jessica Simpson collection). About my day: I had lunch with my bf at Giardinos, a salad restaurant ( we wanted to have something lite because we were going to a bbq at a friend's house). Later on, we went to our friend's house, ate hamburgers like crazy, and watch a movie.  Xoxo!

Aquí les traigo un post rapidito y con pocas fotos pero no quería dejar de compartir con ustedes lo que me puse ayer. En evento de Furor, me probé este vesitdo porque Tati- la dueña- me dijo que apenas lo vió pensó en mi. Al principio no estaba segura porque no es algo que utilizaría regularmente- al mismo tiempo me probé varios vestiditos vintage con siluetas similares a las que ya tengo en el closet. Razón por la que decidí llevarmelo, porque es algo totalmente diferente a lo que tengo en el closet (y aparte super lindo). Quería que el foco del outfit fuera el vestido, por eso lo combiné con pocos (o casi nada) accesorios. También quise hacerme ondas y cambiar el look con pollina (fleco, flequillo, cerquillo, etc), que he estado usando en los últimos outfits. Sobre mi día: primero fui a comer  a un sitio de ensaladas (bastante light porque sabiamos el comidero que venía después)- luego en la tardecita fuimos a casa de un amigo porque estaban cocinando hamburgesas y estuvimos ahí hasta la noche. Lo mejor de todo es que mañana es memorial day - entonces hoy no "es" domingo! Un abrazo a todas!

High waisted shorts... finally!!

This is part #1 of today's outfits. I woke up, ate pancakes (we always have pancakes on Friday, we call it "Pancake Friday" lol), and then I headed to the thrift store. I know I say this almost every other day, but it's getting hotter and hotter by the minute in Miami. Yesterday I found the perfect pair of high waisted shorts at Urban Outfitters, I looked everywhere!- I stopped by after a Banana Republic that a fellow miami fashion blogger hosted (Carmen from Viva Fashion Blog). It was super fun and I met a couple of miami bloggers! Back to today... I went thrift store shopping, I'm so excited about what I bought. I found a couple of dresses- I have to get them altered because they are HUGE and LONG; but I can't wait to see the final result. I also found two blazers, a bright pink one that looks like the one from  Zara but it cost me $4 (beat that Zara!), and a bright blue blazer. Finally, I bought a pair of shoes from.... DOLCE&GABBANA. You are not going to believe how much I paid for them... $20!! Yeah $20 for a vintage (and never used!)  D&G shoes! Now I have to change because some friends are coming over.... I'll take some pics later! XoXO

Esta es la primera parte de los outfits de hoy! Me desperté, comí panquecas (siempre comemos panquecas los viernes, a este ritual le decimos "pancake friday" jajaja), después de eso fui a la tienda de cosas de segunda mano. Se que digo esto casi todos los días pero es impresionante el calor que está haciendo en Miami.  Ayer encontré los shorts a la cintura que llevo meses buscando- los encontré en Urban Outfitters después de ir a un evento de Banana Republic en el que una amiga y blogera de Miami era la organizadora (Carmen de Viva Fashion blog). Fue super chevere, y conocí a varias bloggeras de Miami que no conocia, luego pondré fotos. Volviendo a mi día.. estoy super emocionada porque encontré cosas buenísimas en la tienda de segunda mano: unos vestidos que tengo que mandar a arreglar porque me quedan grandisimos y larguísimos (aparte que hay que modernizarlos un poco). También encontré dos blazers, uno azul y otro rosado como el de Zara que es espectacular- pero me costo $4 (nada que ver con los $100 que cuesta el de Zara!). Finalmente... encontré unos zapatos vintage (ni usados, estaban intactos).. de DOLCE&GABBANA.. casí me da algo cuando vi que eran mi talla y que solo costaban $20! Siii!$20 por unos zapatos D&G!  Ahorita me voy a cambiar porque unos amigos vienen a mi casa- y me tomo fotos por supuesto! Un abrazo! FELIZ FIN DE SEMANA!

Raspaditos & shopping!

The day started as any other sunday- my bff and I went to eat lunch (sushi, of course!). Then, we had no idea what to do so we decided to walk around Sunset Place. I wanted to go to Urban Outfitters, I really love everything there; however, I feel like it's extremely pricey for the low quality you get. After searching the whole sale section, I found a cute little romper- it looks very 50's. Later, we ate some "raspaditos" ("shaved ice" but I call them raspaditos); I used to eat it at least once a week when I was little! It's super delicious! Finally, I wanted to go to Zara so bad. I don't usually buy there but the Spring Collection is BEAUTIFUL! I want every single piece of it! I found the perfect shoes to level up at color-blocking. I hope you have a great week!

El día empezó como un domingo tranquilo- mi fotógrafo y yo fuimos a comer sushi (¡¡como siempre!!. Luego no sabíamos que hacer así que nos fuimos al Sunset a pasear. Entramos a Urban Outfitters, de verdad que me encanta esa tienda pero me parece que todo es carísimo- y la calidad parece ser casi la misma a la de Forever 21 pero 3 veces el precio. Luego nos comimos un raspadito , o como el lo llama: piragua, de fresa y leche condensada. Tenía como 8 años sin comerme uno! Después de registrar toda la parte de rebajas encontré un romper super lindo que parece vintage. Luego quise ir a Zara; nunca me ha gustado comprar en Zara porque me parecía que todo el mundo tenía la misma ropa de ahí . Pero estoy enamorada de la colección de Primavera de este año, los colores son espectaculares- quiero todos los pantalones, todos los blazers, TODO! Encontré los zapatos perfectos para subir de nivel en mi "color-block!". Espero que tengan una bonita semana!
