100 montaditos

My boyfriend's bff is in Miami for Labor Day weekend- so we have been taking him out to different places. Today, Friday, I wanted to take them to a small restaurant I went with some friends from school called "100 montaditos"- and I loved the concept. There you can get small sandwiches and they have a lot of flavors- from salmon&cream cheese to nutella&almonds. After that, I headed to the mall to find some of the items of my September's wishlist. Right now, we are trying to figure out if we are going out to drink or to the movies. I hope you are having an amazing weekend! XOXO

El mejor amigo de mi novio está de visita, así que hemos estado paseándolo por Miami estos días. Hoy viernes, quise llevarlos a un restaurante llamado "100 montaditos"- al cual fui por primera vez hace unos días y me encantó el concepto. Hay 100 (probablemente más) sanduchitos pequeños de muchísimos sabores- desde salmon con queso creo hasta nutella con almendras. Después de eso nos fuimos al centro comercial un ratito, encontré los shorts de "cuero" en Forever 21 y los converse blancos! Ahorita estamos viendo si vamos a salir, o vamos al cine. Espero que pase un feliz fin de semana!

Royal blue and floral!

Hi everyone! I feel like I haven't updated the blog in ages- but the weekend is here and I'm ready to take lots of pics! I've been super busy with school- the program is divided in quarters instead of semesters so it goes by FAST (I have midterms and big projects due next week!!. Can you believe it?) I know I've gotten lots of request on school outfits- but as you can imagine, I'm not presentable at 6 am. And when I get home, I tend to modify it a little (like changing my flats to heels and a bright lipstick). I wanted to wear my royal blue jeans again, but this time I paired them with a floral tank and simple accessories. I had lunch with my boyfriend and slept the whole afternoon- I'm exhausted! Hola a todas! Siento que tengo siglos sin actualizar el blog- pero ya llegó al fin y tomaré muchas fotitos. He estado a millón con la universidad- ya que son 4 "semestres" al año entonces el mismo pasa volando. Esta semana tuve quizzes todos los días y tengo que entregar varios proyectos la semana pasada. Se que me han pedido que les ponga los outfits de la uni (siempre termino modificándolos un poco ya que a las 6 am ando como una loca). Esto fue lo que me puse para ir a la uni hoy viernes, pero con unos zapatos bajitos. Es impresionante como unos tacones, y una pintura de labios pueden cambiar tu look. Quise usar los pantalones azul rey otra vez pero con una camisa floreada y accesorios simples. Fui a comer con mi novio y a descansar- estoy agotadísima! Espero que tengan un bonito fin de semana! I'm so upset that I couldn't enter last week's challenge! I kept waiting but my blazer is not ready yet. I went to the tailor today and he said that it'll be ready next week- I'll post my primary colors outfit next week (hopefully!!). As you might know, I'm not home and I really have to work with what I brought. I decided to wear these contrasting colors, I love how they look together (even though, I felt a little like a watermelon!). Mil disculpas que no pude participar en el reto de la semana pasada- igualmente subiré mi outfit cuando pueda. Hoy fue al sastre y todavía no tienen mi chaqueta azul lista. Como saben, solo tengo una pequeña parte de mi closet conmigo y tengo que trabajar con lo que tengo. Espero que les guste la combinación; aunque me sentía un poco patilla (watermelon!), me gusta que los colores al contrastar tanto llaman muchísimo la atención. A leopard with stripes!

Yesterday was a LONG day- I never wake up early, but I wanted to go to the gym with my mom. We took a dance class at 8am- I had so much fun, I love dancing. I came back home, took a shower, dressed up... and it was only 12pm- it felt like 6 (at least!!). There was a slight change of plans and we decided to visit my mom's family at a small city about 2 hours from Caracas- but there was so much traffic, we got here at night. I have limited internet access (and when it works, it's super slow); I don't even know how I uploaded this pictures. About my outfit: I love how the stripes look with leopard, it's super classy (and I love this dress, I've worn it a couple of times). Ayer fue uno de esos días extremadamente largos- yo jamás me despierto temprano pero quise acompañar a mi mamá a una clase de baile a las 8 am. Fui, la pasé super, y ahora me duelen las piernas horriblemente. Eran las 12 y sentía que eran las 6 de la tarde jaja. Me bañe, me vestí, y hubo un pequeño cambio de planes.. y decidimos viajar en carro a visitar a la familia de mi mamá. Pasamos todo el día en un tráfico horrible, llegamos ya de noche. Ando con poco internet (y cuando funciona, es lentísimo). No se ni como pude subir estas fotos. Sobre mi outfit: me encanta la combinación de rayas con estampado de leopardo- me parece super clásico y este vestido me encanta (ya me lo he puesto varias veces aquí). El resto del outfit cómodo y simple. Espero que les haya gustado y que esten pasando un bonito fin de semana. Gracias por pasa por aquí. Un abrazo inmenso a todas!

Leopard & Cargos!

Yesterday was EXHAUSTING!- I spent hours and hours and the US embassy- as I told you before, I got accepted to study Fashion Merchandising in Miami ( can't wait, I'm so excited!). I woke up early to be there in time, I had to do at least 10 lines (and they made me do them the three times- first I needed to get rid of a flashlight, then the folder was too big, and finally I was missing an important paper!). I spent 5 hours standing up, it was hot and then rainy, and the lines were HUGE; but it was all worth it... I'm ready to go back to school! After that, I went back home to eat (I was starving!!), cleaned my face, changed my flats to heels, and I was ready for the pictures..... it started raining again!  I hate taking pictures indoors- but there's nothing I can do about it.  We went to the mall to get my thrifted dresses tailored (they really needed a makeover!) I'm so excited to see them ready (I'll show them to you obviously !!) . XOXO

Ayer fue un día realmente agotador- pase horas en la embajada americana para poder seguir estudiando- que como les conté me aceptaron para estudiar Fashion Merchandising en Miami. Me desperté temprano para llegar allá con tiempo, hice mínimo 10 filas ya que me devolvieron 3 veces; una por tener una carpeta muy grande, otra por tener una linterna y finalmente me faltaba un papel. Después de 5 horas parada, un palo de agua, un solazo, y mucha paciencia, me la aprobaron. No puedo esperar para empezar a estudiar moda, estoy super emocionada. Llegué a mi casa cansadísima y muerta de hambre,  almorcé, me lave la cara, me cambié los zapatos bajitos por tacones y cuando estaba lista para tomar las fotos... una lluvia impresionante. Por esta razón tuvimos que tomar las fotos adentro, y- aunque no me gusta tomar fotos adentro- así quedaron y quería compartirlas con ustedes. Después de eso nos fuimos al centro comercial a llevar unos vestidos vintage que necesitaba arreglar (o mejor dicho, transformar!). Ya les mostraré como quedaron. Un abrazo a todas!
