100 montaditos

My boyfriend's bff is in Miami for Labor Day weekend- so we have been taking him out to different places. Today, Friday, I wanted to take them to a small restaurant I went with some friends from school called "100 montaditos"- and I loved the concept. There you can get small sandwiches and they have a lot of flavors- from salmon&cream cheese to nutella&almonds. After that, I headed to the mall to find some of the items of my September's wishlist. Right now, we are trying to figure out if we are going out to drink or to the movies. I hope you are having an amazing weekend! XOXO

El mejor amigo de mi novio está de visita, así que hemos estado paseándolo por Miami estos días. Hoy viernes, quise llevarlos a un restaurante llamado "100 montaditos"- al cual fui por primera vez hace unos días y me encantó el concepto. Hay 100 (probablemente más) sanduchitos pequeños de muchísimos sabores- desde salmon con queso creo hasta nutella con almendras. Después de eso nos fuimos al centro comercial un ratito, encontré los shorts de "cuero" en Forever 21 y los converse blancos! Ahorita estamos viendo si vamos a salir, o vamos al cine. Espero que pase un feliz fin de semana!

Romantic yellow!

Today I wanted to share a very simple but romantic outfit. I got this skirt in 2008 (maybe 2007, not sure!) At that moment, high waisted skirts were just starting to come out and I hate that this one is not high waisted! I always tried to put it on the waist and it falls, and if I add a belt, it gets too short... but I really like the color. I paired with one of my favorite shirts: a lace tee and it adds a romantic vibe to the look. I just wanted to share that I spent the whole day at the vet, my baby had a weird thing on its back so I had to take him there asap. He is fine now, taking some meds but he is fine- he's featured A LOT on the pics below... he should have his own blog, right!? Thank you so much for you support! XOXO

Hoy les traigo un outfit sencillito que no quería dejar de compartir con ustedes. Esta falda la tengo desde el 2008 (quién sabe si desde el 2007!!) En ese momento no estaba tan de moda las cosas a la cintura- cosa que me vuelve loca porque me la quiero poner a la cintura y ahí me queda grande. Si uso un cinturón o algo para usarla ahí queda muy cortita, la combiné con una de mis camisas favoritas que es de encaje- dándole un toque romanticón. Les cuento que ayer pasé todo el día en el veterinario, le encontré una pelotica en la espalda a mi perrito y tenía una infección- pero ya está bien, tomándo medicinas pero bien! Abajo sale en muchísimas fotitos, ¿verdad que debería tener su propio blog? Un beso inmenso a todas y una vez más... gracias por todo el apoyo!

A bright dimension...

Between the craziness of this week, I forgot to post Wednesday's outfit. If you follow me on twitter, I uploaded a preview and I promised that I'd show more pics of what I wear to class. Just in case you don't know, I started studying Fashion Merchandising two weeks ago. I love it so far, I feel that it' so different when you are studying what you truly like- remember that life is long, you should enjoy what you choose as you career path. I have class all Wednesday morning and afternoon: in the morning I have Visual Merchandising, there they show us how to decorate windows, or how to appropriately arrange items in an online store in order to attract customers and ultimately.. SELL. In the afternoon, I have Public Relations- which I really like since I have already worked in this department. When I got home, all I did was sleep- I wanted to rest before Premios Juventud.. and I'm glad I did. I hope you had a great weekend, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment!

Entre los Premios Juventud y el corre-corre de esta semana, no publiqué este outfit. Si me siguen en Twitter, ahí les dejé un adelanto del outfit el miércoles y les prometí que les iba a mostrar más seguido lo que uso en la universidad. Para las que no saben, empecé a estudiar Fashion Merchandising hace dos semanas- lo cual me tiene bastante motivada. Es totalmente diferente ir a la universidad cuando se trata de algo que realmente disfrutas (y más cuando eres un poco mayor y ya sabes lo que quieres). Volviendo al tema, los miércoles tengo clase toda la mañana y tarde- en la mañana veo Visual Merchandising (ahí nos enseñan como arreglar vitrinas, maniquís, o la mercancía por internet para que se vea espectacular, atraiga a la gente y se venda) y en la tarde tengo Relaciones Públicas- materia que me gusta mucho porque ya he trabajado en este departamento. Llegué a la casa a dormir y recargar baterías para los Premios al día siguiente. Espero que tengan una semana lindísima! Gracias por visitar y comentar siempre! <3

Tribal print and fringe!

This is what I wore last Sunday- it was gorgeous outfit and the whole look was inspired around this fringed bag. I really wanted to achieve a tribal look- and I was upset that I didn't own any time of tribal print skirt or shorts. However, I found this summer scarf and I decided to wrap it around me as a tight skirt (don't worry, I was wearing shorts underneath just in case). If you liked the bag, I have GREAT news... I'm going to give away one just like this one! Also.. I have a quick question: do you like the new layout of the blog? I spent last night trying to give it a slight makeover. Esto fue lo que utilicé el domingo- el día estaba lindísimo y el outfit fue inspirado alrededor de esta cartera de flecos. Como quería mantener el look tribal, estaba antojadísima de usar una falda/shorts de este estilo. Lamentablemente, la única pieza con estampado tribal que tengo es un pañuelo largo- así que decidí convertirlo en una falda (no se preocupen, tenía unos shorts de hacer ejercicio debajo por si ocurría algún tipo de emergencia). Si les gustó la cartera, les tengo una buena noticia: pronto tendremos una rifa de una idéntica a esta (o de los otros colores que tienen). Por cierto, quería preguntarles.. ¿Qué les parece el ligero cambio de look del blog? ¿Les gusta?

Miami is a swamp!

Not sure if you knew, but Miami is a swamp- it's only a couple of feet over sea-level (reason why you can feel the humidity coming out of the ground when it's hot). After we ate ice-cream in the afternoon, we wanted to take some pics- the adventurous me decided to "change the scenary" so I headed to the side of road. I had no idea I was going to end up buried in dirt (yes I know, my poor shoes!). However, it was a fun experience- I laughed so hard. I'm wearing the simple H&M dress I got yesterday, I love that it's a lot longer in the back; I added the belt so my waist wouldn't get lost in so much fabric. Finally, I decided to wear the scarf because I felt the outfit needed a little color ( I was originally going to wear it as a turband but it was impossible with the clip-on bangs).  I'm going to a friend's birthday party soon, I'll take more pics! No se si lo sabían, pero Miami es un pantano- esta a tan pocos metros del mar que puedes sentir como el agua sale de la tierra cuando hace calor. Hoy fuimos a una calle a tomar las fotos del outfit del día cuando me dió por querer tomar fotos en la parte de las matas; a mi sorpresa, la tierra era LODO y quede enterrada (por eso ven las plataformas llenas de tierra). Les puedo decir que fue toda una experiencia, un poco peligroso pero estaba muerta de la risa. Antes de eso, fuimos a comer helados- dentro de un ratito voy a un cumpleaños, me tuve que cambiar porque llegue a lavar los zapatos y parte del vestido. El vestido lo compré ayer en H&M, me gustó porque es super ligero y asimétrico de largo- le agregué la correa para no perder la cintura en lo ancho del mismo. Finalmente quise agregarle un poco de color con la bufanda- originalmente me la quería poner como turband pero no podía con la pollina/flequillo. Tomaré más fotitos y las publico mañana. I've been taking pictures of my daily outfits for almost a year now; it wasn't until last month that I decided I wanted to open a blog in English too. I have so many pics in my computer with outfits that I love that I want to share them with you. I lived in NYC last year for a couple of months, I got a job offer there but the cold kicked me out- among other things! The best part of taking pics every day is that when you see it, you remember exactly what you did. 

He estado tomando fotos de mis outfits diarios por casi un año; no fue hasta hace un mes que decidí que quería expandirme y escribir en ingles también. Tengo tantas fotos en mi foto de outfits que me encantan que de verdad quiero compartirlos con ustedes- y espero que les gusten. El año pasado viví en Nueva York por un par de meses, me ofrecieron trabajo allá pero el frío me botó- entre otras cosas. La mejor parte de tomar fotos todos los días es que cuando las ves, te acuerdas exactamente que hiciste y como la pasaste :)

I literally spent 24 hrs in NYC, I went for a Nike event. It was amazing (and freezing!)

Literalmente pasé 24 horas en Nueva York, viajé por un evento de Nike. Estuvo espectacular; aunque hacía un frío impresionante!
