El reto de esta semana es ver como cada una combina un vestidito negro o LBD- la idea es que cada una demuestro lo versátil y adaptable que está pieza, estoy segura que todos los outfits van a ser TAN diferentes. Ya quiero ver sus outfits!

Choose a decade and get inspired by it; it can be a piece, the hairstyle or the makeup. Be as creative as you want! I know this one is going to be hard... I don't even know which decade I would recreate while still wearing a wearable outfit. Can't wait to see your outfits!

This challenge is super easy, just wear an outfit during the day and take a picture- later that day, transform your look by adding accessories, changing your flats to heels or your big bag to a clutch, etc etc.

El reto de la proxima semana: (12/07/2011- 18/07/2011) 

Este reto es bastante sencillo: solo usa un outfit de día, toma una foto- luego en la noche, usando la base del outfit, transfórmalo para que sea apropiado para la noche (ejemplo: agrega accesorios, cambia tus flats por tacones o tu cartera inmensa por un clutch).

Taking over my mom's klozet!

This week's challenge was to take over somebody else's closet- I was super excited about it because I'm in Venezuela at my parent's house. Since I was little, I loved stealing my mom's makeup and clothing. I'm so glad that we can share almost everything. For this challenge, I'm wearing her shoes, jeans, bag, watches (yes, plural), bracelet, earrings, belt, and lipstick. The jeans were a little big for me but the belt helped A LOT. About my day: my family and I ate thai food for lunch and then I got ready to go a local market with a couple of friends- at the market, venezuelan designers can showcase their products. It was super fun, I got a beautiful and bright skirt that I can't wait to wear it. After that, we went to a coffee place and we stayed there for hours and hours. El reto de esta semana era atacar el closet de otra persona- me encantaba la idea porque estoy en Venezuela en la casa de mis papás. Desde que era chiquita, me encantaba entrar al closet de mi mamá y pasaba horas probándome todo (hacía desastres). Menos mal que ahora somos la misma talla y podemos compartir casi todo. Para este reto estoy utilizando sus zapatos, jeans, cartera, relojes (si, en plural), pulsera, aretes, correa, y pintura de labios. Los jeans me quedaban un poco grandes pero el cinturón ayudo muchísimo. Sobre mi día: comí con mi familia comida thai y luego me arreglé para ir a un mercado de diseño con un grupo de amigas- en estos mercados puedes encontrar cosas de diseñadores emergentes venezolanos. La pasé super y me compré una falda espectacular, ya se las quiero mostrar. Después de eso nos fuimos a un café y estuvimos horas y horas hablando. ¿Cómo estuvo tu fin de semana? ¿Atacaste el closet de otra persona? No olvides dejar el enlace....

Flor y yo estamos super emocionadas sobre este reto, y esperamosque a ustedes también les guste la idea.. Creemos que es uno de los más divertidos que hemos hecho hasta el momento- ya que vas a tener la excusa perfecta para atacar el closet de tu mama, papa, novio, amigas, hermanas, etc. y ponerte la ropa de ellos. Es decir, puedes combinar tu ropa con la ropa de otras personas, o vestirte de pies a cabeza con ropa ajena! ¿Qué te parece? ¿Te animas?

I'm so upset that I couldn't enter last week's challenge! I kept waiting but my blazer is not ready yet. I went to the tailor today and he said that it'll be ready next week- I'll post my primary colors outfit next week (hopefully!!). As you might know, I'm not home and I really have to work with what I brought. I decided to wear these contrasting colors, I love how they look together (even though, I felt a little like a watermelon!). My day is not over yet but I really wanted to share the outfit before it gets too late! I hope you liked it! Thank you so much for visiting the blog and thanks to everyone who participated this week! Mil disculpas que no pude participar en el reto de la semana pasada- igualmente subiré mi outfit cuando pueda. Hoy fue al sastre y todavía no tienen mi chaqueta azul lista. Como saben, solo tengo una pequeña parte de mi closet conmigo y tengo que trabajar con lo que tengo. Espero que les guste la combinación; aunque me sentía un poco patilla (watermelon!), me gusta que los colores al contrastar tanto llaman muchísimo la atención. What are contrasting colors? Two colors from different segments of the color wheel (shown at the bottom of the post)  are contrasting colors. For example, red is from the warm half of the color wheel and blue is from the cool half. They are contrasting colors.

¿Cuales son los colores que contrastan? Los colores que contrastan son los que se basan en el uso de colores que se encuentran opuestos en la rueda de colores (foto al final del post).  Por ejemplo el rojo es el opuesto del verde, el amarillo es el opuesto del violeta o el azul es opuesto al naranja

Este outfit es parte del reto de esta semana- el cual era usar lunares. Haz click aquí para ver más de estos retos semanales..

I had no idea what to wear to this week's challenge- I didn't want to buy a polka dot piece since the idea of these challenges is not to encourage you to buy BUT to recycle what you already have and "challenge" you to be creative. The only piece of clothing I had was this shirt but it's so.... PLAIN. Reason why I wanted to wear it with this bright jeans and classy blazer. Finally, I added the red lipstick- it's hot 305 by Covergril. About my day: It was raining  and the plan to go to the beach was completely ruined (you can see how cloudy it was). I just went to the mall because my bf wanted to check out some Nike shoes - or something like that. At night, we watched the basketball game (even though, I'm not really a fan). Llevaba toda la semana pensando que usar para el reto- no quería comprar nada porque la idea de estos retos no es salir a comprar cosas, es utilizar lo que ya tenemos en nuestro closet. La unica pieza de lunares que tengo es esta camisa, y siento que es tan... normal. Por eso quise combinarle con algunas piezas bastante llamativas para darle un giro (aparte que el día amaneció lloviendo y lloviendo como pueden ver en las fotos- y usar color siempre nos alegra de alguna forma). Para completar el look decidí pintarme los labios de rojo, un rojo super vibrante que me fascina. Me lo recomendó una maquillista de celebridades en un evento de Covergirl- se llama "Hot 305 de Lip-perfection". Sobre mi día: como les dije, estaba lloviendo y los planes de ir a la playa se arruinaron. Fue un domingo tranquilo, solo acompañe a mi novio a Nike que quería ver unos zapatos (o algo así). Ya quiero ver sus outfits, no olviden dejar el link para ver sus outfit o poner la foto en Facebook. De una les agradezco a todas por participar, son las mejores.
