Today's post is not about the outfit, it's about the place.  We were eating nearby and I really wanted to take pictures there since it's such a beautiful square. It was built in the early 40's and it's definitely one of Caraca's landmarks (and you can see "El Avila- the mountain- in the background).  When you get out of the subway, you see this beautiful fountain and the huge obelisk. I hope you like the pics, I want to go back and take more pictures since it's such a great location. Friday's almost here! Hope you had a great week!

Hoy es uno de esos post en los que no se trata del outfit, si no del lugar. Estabamos comiendo en un restaurante cerca y al pasarle por el lado, me antojé de bajar a tomar unas fotitos en esta plaza. Para las que no son venezolanas, esta plaza fue construída a principios de 1940 y definitivamente es un lugar que hay que conocer si visitas Caracas. Tiene un obelisco en el medio y el Avila (la montaña) se ve espectacular de fondo. Justamente tiene una entrada/salida de metro y lo primero que ves al salir es esta fuente con esta cascada, el obelisco, y el Avila. Espero que disfruten las fotos- quiero regresar a tomar más fotos con calma porque de verdad es un sitio lindísimo. Ya casi es viernes! Espero que hayan pasado una bonita semana! Un abrazo.

The day started at the hair salon, I really needed a manicure/pedicure. After that, I headed to have luch with Beatriz from "Mujeres del Siglo XXI" (which translates to "Women from the 21st Century"). We ate at a sushi restaurant that specializes in temaki rolls ("cone shaped" rolls), it was delicious. I had so much fun, she's a sweetheart!! She "interviewed" me- I'll definitely share the interview when it's ready. Then, we walked a couple of blocks because we wanted to go to this new square to take pictures. It started raining so much that we had to take them indoors (I'll share those soon!). I hope you liked my outfit and thank you so much for stopping by! XOXO


El día empezó en la peluquería, me tocaba un manicure/pedicure urgente! De ahí fui a almorzar con Beatriz de Mujeres del Siglo XXI en una temakería japonesa llamada "Conos". Estuvimos hablando muchísimo y me "entrevistó" de una forma super casual- cuando el artículo esté listo, se los mostraré. Ella es un amor, y me impresionó muchísimo lo emprendedora que es- definitivamente tienen que chequear el blog que escribe junto a dos amigas (etoy segura que se van sentir identificadas con las historias). Luego fuimos a una plaza ya que queríamos tomar unas fotos juntas y la plaza a la que ibamos es lindísima- pero ha empezado a llover durísimo y apenas pudimos tomar una que otra. Caracas, Caracas...

I was supposed to publish an outfit color-blocking with primary colors- but I'm in Caracas an obviously I couldn't bring a lot of clothes. I was planning on wearing a bright blue blazer but I want it to get it tailored for the challenge and it's not ready yet . I'm really sorry. I hope I can post it soon.On Sunday, Father's Day, we had brunch with my mom's family at the small city I told you I was this weekend. We ate delicious Venezuelan food ("arepas"). After that, we drove back to Caracas, got ready and we went out to had a late lunch/early dinner. We went to my dad's favorite sushi restaurant (I know it sounds like it was my idea to eat sushi, but it was his). About my outfit: I wanted to wear my bright pink blazer with neutrals and a pink belt. The best part about this belts is that you can completely customize them (you can choose the color of the belt, the buckle and the tongue- if you want to see more about them, click here). Se supone que hoy fuera el outfit del reto de usar colores primarios, pero vine a Caracas antes de escoger el reto y lo que me quería poner está en el costurero (me quedaba grande, y lo mandé a arreglar. Tenía la esperanza que estuviera listo hoy.). Así que discúlpenme, pero les prometo publicarlo después.El domingo, día del padre, primero la pasamos con la familia de mi mamá e hicimos un "brunch"/desalmuerzo con arepitas. Después de eso recogimos y regresamos a Caracas para comer con mi hermano. Mi mamá iba a cocinar, pero mi papá quiso ir a comer sushi (suena a que fue idea mía, pero no!). Nos fuimos al restaurante favorito de él ya en la tardecita, y comimos hasta que no podíamos más. Estas fotos las tomamos en un mirador y me encanta la vista, se ve toda Caracas y el Avila. Sobre mi outfit: quería usar mi blazer rosada otra vez- pero la combiné con colores neutrales y otro toque de rosado en la correa. Lo chevere de esta correa es que tu mismo puedes escoger los colores, hay una opción que dice "customize" y puedes elegir el color de correa, de la hebilla y del palito (he visto unas super originales- para ver más sobre los cinturones, haz click aquí.). FELIZ SEMANA!

Today was one of those extremely hot days in Miami- I'm glad I spent most of the day indoors with A/C. I went outfit to take the pictures and I felt like I was about to melt. I just wanted to show you my outfit on a quick post because I have a long day ahead of me. Not sure how much I can tell, but I'm going to the Latin Billboards- including rehearsals, after party and red carpet. I was invited by the Telemundo Team and I couldn't be more excited! XoXo

Hoy fue uno de esos días en lo que Miami estaba increíblemente caliente- menos mal que uno se la pasa adentro de un edificio con aire acondicionado. Salí a tomar las fotos y estaba que me derretía. Solo quería dejarles el outfit rápido porque hoy va a ser un día larguísimo. No estoy segura que tanto les puedo contar pero el equipo de Telemundo me invitó a los Latin Billboards, incluyendo ensayos, alfombra roja, after-party y más. Ayer encontré el vestido perfecto para los premios, quiero mostrarlo lo antes posible! Estoy super emocionada! Un abrazo inmenso!

At the Zoo!!

Yesterday, I went to the zoo. It was so much fun! We rented a cycle and we got to see so many animals. The best part was feeding the giraffes! I'm going to let the pics speak for themselves :)

Ayer fui al zoológico! Me encantó, tenía bastante tiempo sin ir! Alquilamos una bicileta/carrito y lo recorrimos rapidísimo y pudimos ver muchos animales. La mejor parte fue darle de comer a las jirafas! Voy a dejar que las fotos hablen por si mismas! Un abrazo!
