Ann Taylor's New Concept Store

I spent my Thursday afternoon at the opening of Ann Taylor's new concept store with Miami Style Influencers. I was really excited because this is the 1st event I get invited as "Nany's Klozet" instead of "Fab Chic and Fit" (my blog in spanish).  Ann Taylor had a makeover and they are making it look modern yet classic chic. They explained me about the new store layout: in the middle of the store, there's a line of mannequins (like a runway) and you can find the exact outfit on the section beside it.  I really like the idea because I'm always asking where to find what the mannequins are wearing. They also want it to be more like a boutique and that when you try something, you feel like you are at home (the dressing room looks like a home closet, so cool). I met two awesome Miami bloggers- Stefani and Angeles- we talked, had champagne, and ate the most amazing shrimp ceviche!  I hope you like the pictures! Have a great weekend!!

Pase el jueves por la tarde en el lanzamiento de un nuevo concepto de tienda de Ann Taylor en Miami junto a editoras y bloggers de moda. Estaba super emocionada porque este es el primer evento que me invitan como "Nany's Klozet" en vez de FCF. Ann Taylor quiere modernizarse y cambiar su audiencia, razón por la cual han pasado por una pequeña transformación en la cual mantienen su esencia clásica pero más juvenil.  El concepto es el siguiente, en el medio de la tienda tienen una línea de maniquis uno atrás de otro (como si fuera una pasarela) y puedes encotnrar exactamente el outfit que tiene el maniquí en la sección de al lado (lo que me parece genial porque yo me la paso preguntando donde encontrar lo que tiene puesto tal maniquí). También quieren que sea más como una boutique y que te sientas en tu casa- razón por la cual los probadores parecen un closet casero. Conocí a dos bloggers fantásticas- Stefani y Angeles- hablamos, tomamos champaña y comimos el mejor ceviche de camarones que he probado. Espero que les gusten las fotitos! Feliz fin de semana!

NEON SKIRT!

Remember I told you last week that I went to a small market of Venezuelan designers? As soon as I saw this ED'A skirt, I felt in love- the color, the length, the model...Reason why I bought it without thinking it twice and I'm so proud to say it is 100% made in Venezuela. I know you are going to see it a lot because I have a lot of outfits with this skirt in mind. I decided to paired it with neutrals to tone down the neon and my floral platforms. About my day: I decided to drive to the closest H&M (which is 1.5 hrs away- it was more like a road-trip); however, I was a little disappoint because I only found a shirt and a beach bag. Also, I headed to Zara- the prices were incredible! I came back home at night very tired and I just wanted to upload the pics ( I felt like I haven't updated the blog in a while, but it was just one day!). I hope you have a great weekend! XOXO

¿Se acuerdan el fin de semana pasado que les dije que fui a un mercado de diseñadores emergentes venezolanos? Apenas vi esta falda de ED'A... me enamoré- el color, el modelo... todo me fascinó. Razón por la cual me la llevé sin pensarlo dos veces- y me alegra compartir con ustedes que es 100% hecha en Venezuela (si quieren saber más info, agreguen a Enrique D'Armas en Facebook). Estoy segura que la van a ver muchísimo porque tengo muchas combinaciones en mente (ojalá y el diseñador se anime a hacer una rifa, no les parece!?).  Decidí combinarla con una camiseta blanca sencilla, la fedora, y mis plataformas de flores. Sobre mi día: decidí ir a H&M pero queda a una hora y media de Miami- así que fue manejar bastante. Sinceramente, solo encontré una camisita de rayas y un bolso de playa. También aproveché para entrar a Zara que los precios están increíbles.  Regresé a mi casa cansadísima y quise subir las fotos inmediatamente porque sentí que las tengo abandonadas- aunque solo estuve un día sin publicar nada. Caracas, Caracas...

I was supposed to publish an outfit color-blocking with primary colors- but I'm in Caracas an obviously I couldn't bring a lot of clothes. I was planning on wearing a bright blue blazer but I want it to get it tailored for the challenge and it's not ready yet . I'm really sorry. I hope I can post it soon.On Sunday, Father's Day, we had brunch with my mom's family at the small city I told you I was this weekend. We ate delicious Venezuelan food ("arepas"). After that, we drove back to Caracas, got ready and we went out to had a late lunch/early dinner. We went to my dad's favorite sushi restaurant (I know it sounds like it was my idea to eat sushi, but it was his). About my outfit: I wanted to wear my bright pink blazer with neutrals and a pink belt. Se supone que hoy fuera el outfit del reto de usar colores primarios, pero vine a Caracas antes de escoger el reto y lo que me quería poner está en el costurero (me quedaba grande, y lo mandé a arreglar. Tenía la esperanza que estuviera listo hoy.). Así que discúlpenme, pero les prometo publicarlo después.El domingo, día del padre, primero la pasamos con la familia de mi mamá e hicimos un "brunch"/desalmuerzo con arepitas. Después de eso recogimos y regresamos a Caracas para comer con mi hermano. Mi mamá iba a cocinar, pero mi papá quiso ir a comer sushi (suena a que fue idea mía, pero no!). Nos fuimos al restaurante favorito de él ya en la tardecita, y comimos hasta que no podíamos más. Estas fotos las tomamos en un mirador y me encanta la vista, se ve toda Caracas y el Avila. Sobre mi outfit: quería usar mi blazer rosada otra vez- pero la combiné con colores neutrales y otro toque de rosado en la correa. Lo chevere de esta correa es que tu mismo puedes escoger los colores, hay una opción que dice "customize" y puedes elegir el color de correa, de la hebilla y del palito (he visto unas super originales- para ver más sobre los cinturones, haz click aquí.). FELIZ SEMANA!

Fashion School, here I come!

This is what I wore to sign some papers at the university because... I got accepted!! I'll start  fashion school in July. I'm so excited to study fashion merchandising ( I wanted design at first but I had to be realistic...I'm the worst when it comes to drawing or sewing). I would love to have my own boutique one day (online and in Miami), be a stylist, personal shopper or a magazine editor (maybe all the above). I just wanted to share my happiness with you! I can't wait to start this new stage in my life!

Esto fue lo que utilicé para ir a firmar unos papeles en la universidad, porque... ME ACEPTARON! Empiezo a estudiar "fashion merchandising" en JULIO!! Estoy super super emocionada- tengo tantos sueños en mente, me encantaría tener mi propia boutique (tanto online como física en Miami) , ser estilista, personal shopper, o editora de una revista (o todas las anteriores!) Solo quería compartir con ustedes mi emoción de empezar una nueva etapa!

At the Zoo!!

Yesterday, I went to the zoo. It was so much fun! We rented a cycle and we got to see so many animals. The best part was feeding the giraffes! I'm going to let the pics speak for themselves :)

Ayer fui al zoológico! Me encantó, tenía bastante tiempo sin ir! Alquilamos una bicileta/carrito y lo recorrimos rapidísimo y pudimos ver muchos animales. La mejor parte fue darle de comer a las jirafas! Voy a dejar que las fotos hablen por si mismas! Un abrazo!

Red jeans & Leopard

I wanted to wear my red jeans again- but I wanted to make them look different from the previous times I've worn them. Reason why I chose this leopard top- I tried to keep the accessories as simple as possible so it would look okay for the daytime. Finally, I added red lipstick so the whole outfit looked pulled together. I wanted to tell you about my Thursday, I went to the movies to watch "Prom". I actually loved it, I love teenager movies and this was no exception- the story is super cute - a little predictable though- and the main actor is EXTREMELY cute. Tomorrow, I'm going to a special event of the movie. In the morning, they are donating one of the dresses worn in the movie to a charity called Becca's Closet. Then, I'm going to interview the main charactes of the movie! I'm super excited, I'll let you know how it goes!


Quería ponerme mis pantalones rojos otra vez- y quería que se viera diferente a las otra veces que las he usado. Razón por la que escogí esta camisa de leopardo; para mantener el look de día mantuve los accesorios lo más sencillos posible. Y me pinté los labios rojos para que todo el look estuviera relacionado. Les quería contar de mi día de ayer, fui invitada al pre-estreno de la película PROM. De verdad me encantó, la película- es la típica película predecible de adolescentes pero es super tierna y el protagonista es BELLO. Mañana voy a un evento especial de esta película que consiste en dos partes. La primera es la donación de un vestido a la fundación Becca's Closet y en la segunda voy a poder entrevistar a los protagonistas de "Prom. Ya les contaré como me va!
