Us Weekly Magazine's "Who Wore It Best?" the NIKOLAKI Edition: Cheryl Burke or Marley Shelton?

Seeing NIKOLAKI Double...

Raspberry Madness: Cheryl Burke of Dancing With The Stars" and "Scream 4" actress Marley Shelton, in NIKOLAKI--Us Weekly

Well, it was bound to happen: A NIKOLAKI "Who Wore It Best?" Moment! yes, in the latest edition of Us Weekly Magazine's May 2 issue, one of my designs was featured in their famous "Who Wore It Best?" page. It seems that one of our Spring 2011 NIKOLAKI creations is very popular, as of late, on the red carpet.

UsWeekly Cover, May 2, 2011 Edition

ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" Cheryl Burke
and "Scream 4" actress Marley Shelton both wore the same raspberry silk ziberline strapless draped bust cocktail dress, not at the same event--Gracias a Dios! Burke wore it to a Rolling Stone Magazine Awards red carpet event, while Shelton walked the "Scream 4" Premiere last week in the dress.
So, Who Wore It Best? Well, according to Us Weekly readers....it was Miss Marley! She received 73% of the vote. As one of the designers, I think they BOTH wore it well!

UsWeekly Fashion Police: Nick Verreos Sizes Up The Celeb "Not's"

Fashion Policing...

This Week on UsWeekly...Did Nick's Comments Make It In...Or Not?

Every other week in Us Weekly, I am one of the "Top Cops" in the magazine's "Fashion Police" section, where I give my Oh-No-You-Didn't commentary on that week's Red Carpet Not's. Most of the other commentators are professional writers and comedians so I try and be funny and witty yet somehow give a little bit of my "two cents" as a Fashion Designer and Fashion Design Instructor...in FIVE words or less!!!

Sometimes, I get one comment in there--it's up to the fabulous Us Weekly editors--what makes the cut. In this last week's issue--from November 15Th--I actually got TWO! (Yeayyy!):

For Padma and Rihanna. Hope that the next time you are at the airport--and after you've been cleared by the TSA agents--you make your way to the Newsstand and pick up an Us Weekly. Go straight to the back and see if any of my comments made it in there or not...

Nick Verreos on Us Weekly Fashion Police

Nick's giving "Fashion Tickets"
In case you didn't know, I am one of the "Fashion Police" for UsWeekly's popular end-of-the-magazine column. I've been a "Fashion Cop" for over a year now and I admit, it's a lot of fun, getting these photos and trying to come up with something funny and witty to say. Sometimes I achieve it and well, sometimes I don't.
Just in case you have been near an airport newsstand lately (or the Dentist's Office), here's a Three-for-one: Three past "Fashion Police" UsWeekly issues and my corresponding--and sometimes not-so-complimentary comments.
